ADULTS
Join us as a Leader or Adult Helper!

Learn new skills, enjoy adventure and meet new friends while making a difference to young people in our local community! We warmly welcome new members, young and old. You don’t need to have any Scouting experience, but you may need to keep up with some adventurous people and their adrenaline-packed adventures!

Our Leaders and Adult Helpers are a team of dedicated, self-motivated individuals who take the time and the interest to help on a voluntary basis to undertake many fun activities with the youth. You work with your team to support the youth in learning new skills through the Scouts system. That means the young people lead, and you are their mentor. You might experience kayaking, canyoning, hiking, camping in the snow or even planning an international expedition. There are heaps of international travel experiences to become involved in, with contingents leaving Australia every year to Scouting events in all parts of the globe. Depending on the age group you will provide more or less hands-on guidance. Supporting the youth program can be very rewarding and it definitely has its perks! You’re also never alone - There are thousands of fellow Leaders to turn to in a giant, supportive network of friends.

There is also an opportunity to join our group committee and various sub-committees if being a Leader is too big of a commitment. Any and every skill is welcomed at 1st Beaumaris Sea Scouts, so please get in touch and we guarantee you that we'll find you a role that you'll love!
